ADVANCEMENT

The most important change that occurred during the Industrial revolution was the advancement and development of child labour laws. Technology began to develop exponentially and factories soon sprang up everywhere; a surplus in supply resulted in more demand and more need for workers: Child workers.

Of course, not all workers were children but a large portion of them were. Daily these children were exposed to toxic chemicals and harsh working conditions which resulted in deformities of the body and mind. Some of these effects included: Stunted growth, lung problems, and some of the workers even went deaf from the constant droning of machines.

Not only did they encounter these social injustices but they had very small wages to support themselves with, most of it was spent on poor quality, cheap food that they needed to keep on working. This happened for many years.

Children were used and abused for easy labour without second thought, which is why it's advancement is very important and why I chose it.
